Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education in Egypt and Scientific Research, took part in honoring the top students in the unified central digital exam for students of medical colleges on the 13th of September, 2018.

In his speech, the Minister acknowledged the success of the standardized exam and the establishment of a standard for measuring the level of graduates, especially in medical colleges. He thanked the companies that cooperated with the Ministry in building and designing this digital exam and preparing the standardized test, noting that this test was designed with standardized questions that are mapped to international frameworks of standards and Learning Outcomes to measure student’s ability accurately, as well as it provides a safe environment for students in terms of ensuring digital testing stability without relying on the existence of the Internet, and to prevent any attempts to cheat, in addition to the automated digital grading which eliminates the need for any intermediary or human grading factor which can be biased and unfair towards examinees

In his speech, Adel Rizk, CEO of GamaLearn, said that GamaLearn and Microsoft joined forces with the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) and the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU) to plan the best approach to this digital transformation initiative and aim for a successful pilot by all aspects. The goal is to deliver a centrally managed test and delivered nationwide at the same time – this requires planning during the current academic year 2018/2019 for infrastructure readiness, and establishing standardized test centers for each university to ensure the quality of the exams and transfer the knowledge and experience.
